Lottozero: Center for textile design, art and exchange with an open lab for textile production, experimentation and research — based in Prato, Italy.
Lottozero’s mission is to create a fertile environment for textile research and experimentation in design and art, and an international base for networking in the textile sector.
We encourage and support the development of emerging talent of textile design through international talent scouting and targeted residencies in our headquarters in Prato, one of the main textile districts of Europe.
We bring talented, motivated, young European designers to Prato, Italy. We initiate an exchange between traditional textile production companies, by showing them new means for creative innovation, and young textile designers, by putting them in contact with companies who have the necessary technical know-how to produce their creations.

The Lottozero headquarter is quite big, overall about 400 square meters, it’s a beautiful space shared by artists, designers and other creative professionals.
Its spaces are an open territory, where sharing techniques and knowledge in the textile field is encouraged on an international level. New collaborative ideas are born every day and individual projects are enabled by using common resources.
Ideal space for presentations, press conferences, teaching – classroom / workshops, receptions, book launches, cooking courses, meetings, conferences, photo shoots. Wi-Fi and kitchen included, sound system and projection available upon request (set up charge applies).
Hourly and daily rentals are also available.
We design textiles, we help companies and textile designers get in touch with one another, we search for the best new styles and trends. We also help with the sourcing and practical production of many designs by up and coming textile and fashion designers.
The Kunsthalle is Lottozero’s exhibition space, its objective is to give space to artistic positions driven by an original and acute thought, thus placing itself as an independent entity and vessel for a wide range of visions. We periodically present the results of research and experiments developed by the artists and designers who work at Lottozero / textile laboratories.
The textile laboratories are currently under construction, but the final result will be a Fab Lab for textile design, and we can’t wait! Knitting, silkscreen printing, felting, weaving, dying, sewing, laser cutting... you name it! Our labs will be open to anyone who will want to use them.
