LUCA VANELLO TIRED EYES DISLIKE THE YOUNG
Opening 21.03, 18.30 h
In the works of Luca Vanello, a particular regeneration process of Prato carded wool becomes the linguistic tool with which to investigate philosophical concepts linked to materiality in the process of reversion from one state of matter to another.
MARGRETHE KOLSTAD BREKKE
Opening 06.06, 19.30 h
Norwegian artist Magrethe Brekke uses dacron in her works, a highly resistant and light synthetic fabric used for hang-glider wings. She works manually on the surfaces, making the language of patterns into a visual code, with which she talks about ecological themes of immediate urgency. She will fly her latest hang-glider over the evocative scenery of the alps which surround the city of Bolzano, tracing an ideal bridge to the eco-philosophical thought that began in Norway in the ‘70s.
ANNA M. ROSE
Opening 05.09, 19.30 h
In the research of Anna M. Rose, an American artist who has relocated to Florence, the masses of hair used in her sculptures are made of synthetic fibres, works that overturn the stereotypes linked to femininity. Homo Bulla is a playground where the visitor is physically involved, and can experience the ambiguity of the game’s rules and gestures, once they are out of the their original context.
