Distort and Transform is based on the idea of translating digital research and the exploration of experimental textiles featured in Zeitguised’s video GEIST.XYZ into "real“ haptic objects. Using the traditional technique of knotting carpet, Distort and Transform makes use of classical methods however it breaks away from the idea of a classic rug by alienating its outer shape. The production is fair trade, handmade in Nepal from 100% natural died Tibetan wool.
