SECOND SKIN

29.09.—08.10.2023

Exhibition by Hannes Egger

A pile of vintage clothing is made available to the public, invited to take one item in exchange for another that they are wearing at that moment.
Conceived by Hannes Egger during a residency at Lottozero in Prato, “Second Skin” is a performative device that triggers a reflection on the traces of experience we leave through clothing and the dynamics of ownership and identification we establish with them.
With the support of Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano, South Tyrol.

SAND STORMS IN MEDIO MUNDI

23.09.—02.10.2022

Exhibition by Lisa Batacchi

Lottozero presents the first two tapestries of Sands Storms in Medio Mundi, an ongoing project by Lisa Batacchi, which investigates the element of the earth and its connections within the sky, inspired by the work of philosopher and orientalist Henri Corbin.
This intermediate axis between earth and sky is explored through a series of large tapestries hand woven by the artist, in collaboration with expert weavers and textile restorers.
