PRINTING AT THE LOTTOZERO LAB

Experiment with the traditional technique of silkscreen printing on textiles using a professional repeat printing table (2 × 6 m). The lab provides screens of various sizes, multiple inks, squeegees, and a full cleaning station with high-pressure washer, as well as an exposing unit for screen preparation. It is also possible to work with sublimation printing, vinyl printing and foil and flock applications using the heat press, printing on garments or several meters of fabric.

SCREEN PRINTING WITH PIGMENTS

Pigment inks are acrylic-based screen-printing bases that can be mixed with CMYK liquid pigments to create any shade you need. You can work with a transparent, matte, or opaque base for dark fabrics, depending on your design. This method is fast, user-friendly, and produces bold, vivid prints — ideal for artistic work and experimental textiles. Once printed, the colors are heat-set using the heat press for lasting results.

SCREEN PRINTING WITH REACTIVE DYES

Reactive dyes offer deep, permanent coloration by chemically bonding with the fibres. At Lottozero, we provide a base along with CMYK powder and liquid pigments, supported by a recipe book that simplifies shade research and color development.

This technique is more complex and is recommended for experienced screen printers. The workflow is longer: after printing, the fabric must be fixed in the steamer, then washed and ironed immediately. Preparing the fabric on the printing table also requires extra time and precision.

Because the dye penetrates into the fibres, the textile keeps its softness and fluid drape, making reactive printing ideal for scarves, garments, and fine fabrics that benefit from a delicate hand.

SCREEN EXPOSURE

Lottozero offers a professional screen exposure service equipped with a large exposure unit with UV lamp for high-quality results, as well as a small light box ideal for less experienced users and faster exposures.

Unless you are highly experienced, screen exposure must be carried out together with the Lab Manager to ensure accuracy and avoid damaging the screens.

Your acetate film should be printed externally, except for A4–A3 formats, which can be printed directly at Lottozero for 2–3€.

HEAT PRESS

The Siser TS-One is a professional manual heat press with a patented, ergonomic design that ensures simple, reliable application of heat-transfer materials on any fabric. Its side-opening upper arm and generous workspace provide safe, fast, and comfortable operation.

The press features a digital display for precise temperature control, an acoustic alarm that signals the end of the transfer time, and manually adjustable pressure. Both the upper and lower plates are independently rotatable, offering maximum flexibility during use. Plate size: 38 × 50 cm. Maximum temperature: 220°C

Beyond the printing techniques described on this page, the heat press also enables a wide range of material experiments. It can be used for textile bonding, applying patches, labels, setting pigments and dyes, and even exploring processes such as pleating, embossing, and layered textile constructions. A versatile tool for both functional finishing and creative surface research.

VINYL PRINTING

Vinyl printing allow you to create bold, graphic designs by cutting shapes or lettering from colored or metallic vinyls and transferring them onto fabric.

At Lottozero, this technique is supported by our cutting plotter for precise cutting and a heat press for clean, durable application. It’s a fast, versatile method ideal for logos, statements, and decorative accents. The plotter is the Roland GS2-24, a high-quality, versatile cutting plotter designed for precision and reliability. With a 58.4 cm cutting width, increased cutting force up to 500 gf, and an optical registration sensor for automatic alignment, it delivers fast and accurate results. At the Lab you will find the Roland CutStudio software for easy graphic creation.

SUBLIMATION PRINTING

Sublimation printing transfers images onto textiles using heat and pressure, working exclusively on acrylic fibers. Create your design on paper (by painting or printing with a screen) with sublimation inks, then use the heat press to imprint it directly onto the fabric. The result is a vibrant, long-lasting print embedded in the material.

At Lottozero, sublimation printing is done with a professional Siser TS-ONE heat press and high-quality sublimation inks. Instead of using a printer, designs are hand-painted, drawn or screen-printed on paper, then transferred onto acrylic textiles through heat and pressure. The process keeps the artisanal character of the artwork while producing vivid, long-lasting prints.

FOIL & FLOCK PRINTING

Foil and flock printing can be achieved by screen printing a special adhesive ink directly onto the fabric. Once the glue-ink is printed and dried, foil or flock is applied with the heat press, where heat and pressure bond the material only to the printed areas.

This method allows you to combine screen printing and heat transfer, creating shiny metallic effects or soft, raised textures without using the plotter—ideal for expressive, graphic, and experimental prints.
