GreenLift- Social-Responsive Upskilling and Reskilling Opportunities towards the Green Transition of the TCFL Industry

GreenLift promotes the green transition of the Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear (TCLF) industries by developing training, support services, and hands-on labs that equip workers, SMEs, and vulnerable groups, especially women and NEETs, with essential green and digital skills. Through collaboration between education, industry, and policy stakeholders, the project fosters inclusive workforce transformation, social well-being, and sustainable innovation across Europe.

PROJECT’S MAIN OBJECTIVEs

This initiative is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and its main objectives are:

  • To design and implement a comprehensive framework for green re- and up-skilling in the Textile, Clothing, Leather, and Footwear (TCLF) sectors.

  • To identify green skills gaps and socio-economic challenges through stakeholder mapping, surveys, and focus groups.

  • To develop tailored training programmes and digital learning tools that equip workers, SMEs, women, and NEETs with sustainable and circular economy competencies.

  • To establish GREEN-LIFT Labs offering hands-on technical training and holistic support for career guidance, mentoring, and well-being.

  • To foster collaboration between education, industry, and policy actors to promote social inclusion and a fair green transition.

  • To raise awareness and share best practices that strengthen sustainability, innovation, and resilience across the European TCLF ecosystem

Who can participate?

  • Women and NEETs (young people not in employment, education, or training) who wish to gain access to training and employment in the growing green economy.

  • VET providers, trainers, and educational institutions involved in vocational and adult education for the fashion and textile sectors.

  • Textile and fashion supply chain actors, including manufacturers, artisans, and service providers committed to more circular and transparent production.
